BOOKING GUIDELINES FOR MUSICIANS
Common Ground Coffeehouse holds just ten concerts a year, from September through June, and on occasion, additional concerts, such as those we present during the Rivertowns Jazz and Blues Festival in June. Most of our concerts are held in the First Unitarian Society of Westchester’s sanctuary, which holds 100-125, depending on seating arrangements. And most concerts are held on the 4th Saturday of each month, except if there’s a holiday weekend, such as Thanksgiving weekend or Memorial Day weekend, or, in the rare occasion when we adapt our schedule to match the tour schedule for a specific artist
Generally speaking, we’re proud to feature a very wide and eclectic diversity of music, ranging fromĀ folk, blues, Americana, world music andĀ jazz, to alternative-folk/rock, singer-songwriters, popular song, klezmer, cajun-zydeco, and music that can’t otherwise be classified. With rare exceptions, we generally do not feature crunk, death metal, showtunes, or songs about pets.
More often than not, we approach established nationally or regionally touring artists (or their representatives) to book our shows. However, as much as possible, we also like to present local or emerging artists as well. If you would like to be considered for a slot on our schedule, please be aware that we often book 6 months to a year in advance. We are happy to receive inquiries at commongroundfusw@aol.com, and ask that you send a link to an EPK, MySpace Page or website with full bio info and music samples. Although we promise to listen to everything, due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, we unfortuntely can only contact those artists who we are interested in booking. PLEASE, NO PHONE CALLS. Thanks.
